I had the most amazing time at the baby shower. Well, first it all started Friday for me with a nice little surprise that turned into an awesome weekend event.
My mom called me up on my way home from work on Friday. She said she got something in the mail for me and wants me to come over and see it before everyone else does at the shower. Well mom, I'm really tired and don't exactly want to but ok, it's Friday!
I pull into my parents driveway and see a car that isn't normally there. I think I know who it belongs to but I walk inside very curious. I see my mom's cousin Stefanie and her husband Marty there! They drove in from Buffalo and I was so surprised to see that they made the trip!! Stefanie tells me, "We aren't the suprise." Okay now I can't believe it, that seemed like enough of a surprise! My mom and everyone else tagging along walks me over to a closed bedroom door. It must be something big and unwrapped which is why the door is closed, right?
WRONG. My cousin, Lisa, and her son Finn from Florida are sitting on the bed!!!! I haven't seen my cousin in 2 1/2 years and I never met her son because of stupid Jet Blue last summer (a long story for another day). WHAT A SHOCK!! It was the best surprise of a lifetime, truly. I wish I had pictures to share with you of my complete and utter shock but I don't. My cousin did, however, record a little video on her phone of my seeing her. That was pretty funny.

I had so much fun figuring out where everything was going to go! Of course it was a 2 week project because I have to take a lot of breaks since my feet swell and hurt :( Gotta love pregnancy! I'm ready for Tyler to get here already!
Thank you to all of you for your thoughtful gifts and coming to the shower! I had a blast and Scott and I love you all. Tyler is going to be one lucky kid with all of our wonderful family and friends <3
Sooo fun!!! I heard about the prep for weeks, your mom was so excited!! Beautiful shower down to every little detail in the decorations!! Love that you were surprised (we knew about that at school, too!) AND I love the unplanned stripe outfits. Did you notice there is also a striped outfit for Tyler hanging in the background behind you all as well? It's such a cool pic and I love that it was also in the background with a striped baby outfit!! <3 <3 Soooo excited for you~ can you tell!? haha sorry
